Brett Clarke, Country Singer/Songwriter started his musical journey in early 2003 overcoming his fear of stage fright with the help of Kim Adams owner & Manager of Kim’s Karaoke, where his dreams of becoming a Country Music singer finally began.
In 2005 Brett toured Australia with The Brian Young show along with 2006 Toyota Star Maker Winner Cat Southern, 2005 Nashville Song search winner Shandell Tosoni and Golden Guitar Nominee & Award Winning Songwriter Wayne law. The Brian Young show was a four month tour of the outback, entertaining Aboriginal communities & small towns throughout Australia.
While on Tour Brett Wrote his First song “Moving On” in Katherine, Northern Territory with the help of Micah Reimers, The show’s Bass Player.
“I learnt so much from all the amazing people I toured with from Songwriting tips, Guitar Chords and singing advice. It was just amazing, The best experience of my life that I’ll never forget, and we all become really close friends.”
Brett Clarke was born in Armidale New South Wales in 1985, before moving out west to the opal mining town of Lightning Ridge, New South Wales where his Father chased the Fortune underground. In late 2001 Brett’s parents separated and his mother chose Tamworth as the place to start a new life. Brett soon joined musical workshops with Country Capital Music Association held monthly at ‘The Pub’ in which his fear of stage fright held him from singing with other Country Beginners.
The Telstra Road Tamworth came across Brett and his amazing deep voice in 2006 at the Dubbo heat searching for the next big star in Country Music. Brett won the heat and received $1000 towards his career, media promotion in television & local newspapers.
In 2007 Brett attended and graduated from the CMAA college of Country Music where he wrote a heart felt song ‘Standing Back’ an emotional journey involving his stage fright and hidden talent. This was the highlight of his career in country music.
Brett recently recorded a demo with Phil Emmanual & Mothar Mountain Music Studios in Gympie, Queensland before moving back to home town Tamworth.
