Brett was born in Australia, but moved to California about seven years ago where he now writes about art and entertainment for The Santa News Press and music for Rhythms Magazine. Having subsequently been a music correspondent for the Santa Barbara Independent, he also contributes to the Santa Maria Sun and VC Reporter.
