Brett McDonald began his musical career as the lead singer for the reggae-ska band Tea For The Voyage in Kingston Ontario. After 3 CD's and 1 tour Brett and TFTV decided to go seperate ways, and after playing his last show December 31 2007 it seemed like Brett would be finished with music.
One day in the month of April 2008, Brett picked up the guitar and tried to teach his friend Andrew how to play, after playing the into to Blink 182's Damnit over and over again Brett couldnt put it down. He began writing his first song, and two weeks later he performed it at his first open mic, the song was called "Girl Of My Dreams". The next week, he played at a party for his friends, debuting the song "Im Stoked" and from then he fell in love once again with performing.
Working hard he put together a quick EP before he went on a holiday to Australia, the "IM STOKED EP" did well, and Brett hosted his first show at the time to laugh comedy club in Kingston, Ontario at the end of August 2008.
September 14th Brett flew with his friend Andrew to Australia to live the dream. After spending a few weeks in Sydney and playing a show in Colloroy at the Surf Rock Hotel, Brett and Andrew began working for Mojo Surf in arrawarra, NSW. For the passed 5 months he lived and worked there playing songs around the campfire for different groups everynight, ranging from 10 to 160. Now he is back in his hometown Kingston, Ontario, and is determined to make a splash on the music scene.
