Brett Milano's Interests
|
| Music | Most of my favorites are now in my friendspace, so that's a start. I subscribe to the theory that the best kinds of music all begin with the letter P: Pop, psychedelic, progressve, punk, (I'm cheating) proto-garage and (I'm cheating some more) pfunk. I still yearn for the band who'll perform a 20-minute prog-rock deconstruction of "Louie Louie." | | Television | Jon Stewart, the Colbert Report, the first 15-odd minutes of Letterman, Olbermann when he's riled, various now-defunct HBO dramas...and any Bob Newhart episodes that involve moo goo gai pan. |

Brett Milano hasn't been here in forever, like walking back into a crowded party. Wow, got responses from those friend requests I sent out in April! Posted at 10:04 PM Jul 20

About me:
Okay, so this page no longer exists just to plug my book...It's been out for months now and my eternal gratitude if you bought it. Now this page exists because I've been having fun catching up with scattered friends and bands whose records I first bought when I was twelve. I am now holding an honest job at Harmonix Music and freelancing whenever time allows. (As for "The Sound of Our Town," it's available through the usual outlets, and if you love Boston, music history and some of the greatest bands in the world, I would still be glad to sign your copy). I remain an active writer, music obsessive, coffee drinker, Inman Square denizen, and proud owner of Cyril the wonder cat. And by the way, I am still in love with the modern world. Here we go down Route 128.

Who I'd like to meet:
People I am already friends with and owe phone calls to....Bands I love so I can flaunt my connections and good taste...People who have put up photos I'd be too timid to post myself...Any offbeat musical and/or creative types who'll care to distract me for a couple minutes and let me return the favor.
I'd also still like to meet Professor Longhair, Francoise Hardy, Lester Bangs, and Colette, if anyone can help with that.
