Brett Staggs began writing songs on a horse farm in Williamsport, Pennyslvania. Influenced by the timeless songwriting of Tom Petty, he began playing and writing in the Pittsburgh area both as a solo act and with a few bands; The Cool Grand, Eric James, Brody, and The Long Time Darlings. He then moved to Austin, TX in 2005 to continue writing and playing with local bands/songwriters such as Slowtrain, Graham Weber, Ricky Stein, and Nashville songwriter Tommy Womack. Brett had songs used in several local films and had the chance to record at Willy Nelson's Luck City studio. After moving back to Pittsburgh, Brett has had a song featured in the December issue of Classic Rock Magazine's CD Compilation and has released his first full-length solo album in 7 years featuring songs recorded in both Austin and Pittsburgh.
