I've been playing guitar since an early age and have been playing in bands and teaching for around 20 years.
I graduated with honors from the Atlanta Institute Of Music (Guitar Major) and was a student tutor.
I have taught guitar classes for the National Guitar Workshop (NGW), Ivy Tech Community College, and local music stores in the Southern Indiana area.
I have a new book through Centerstream Publications called 'Muting The Guitar'.
I have three books published through Hal Leonard (Harmonics For Guitar, Introduction To Guitar Tone And Effects, and Teach Yourself To Play Guitar).
I have another new book coming out in 2010.
The "other new one" is published through Cherry Lane and is called The Stylistic History Of Metal Guitar.
A technical and historical glimpse into the many genres (and sub-genres) of metal guitar styles and techniques through the years.
Aside from my passion for music...I also love going to concerts, reading, watching movies, playing video games (I LOVE MY XBOX 360!), laughing, and having interesting intelligent conversation. A must!
I'm currently working on a new CD project, which is tentatively titled 'Terrestrial Planet'.
The new project is themed around the original Doom video game.
It borrows some of the places, feelings, and overall vibe I had "back in the day" playing that classic video game. It's shaping up to be an instrumental space voyage to hell!
