Brezno
Pisalo se je leto 2007, ko je nekje globoko v gozdu, izpod močnih korenin mogočnih hrastov in bukev, sredi najtemnejše zimske noči, spokojnost zmotilo nenavadno dogajanje. Nekaj se je prebujalo. Odpiralo se je skrito ... Predramilo se je tisto, na kar so mnogi že davno pozabili. Sprva zamolklo in nejasno je postajalo vse veličastnejše … Iz temnih globočin se je ponovno dvignila izgubljena pesem … Rodilo se je Brezno.
Rojstvo skupine je napovedalo obdobje, ki bo povezalo člane pod okriljem skupnih idej in jim naklanjalo nepozabne trenutke ob ustvarjanju glasbe s koreninami, glasbe, ki jim teče po žilah – folk metala.
Svoje moči tako danes v zasedbi združujejo: Sara (vokal), Eva (flavte, piščali), Katarina (klaviature, vokal), Mitja (bas, vokal), Max (kitara), Luka (kitara, vokal) in Matej (bobni)
V zadnjem letu so začeli svojo glasbo ponašati med ljudi na koncertih po Sloveniji in bližnjih deželah, hkrati pa so posneli tudi prve skladbe, ki domujejo na predstavitveni zgoščenki z naslovom Viharnik.
Glasbeni navdih člani iščejo v izročilu o prednikih in zgodbah starih kultur, preko besedil pa skušajo izražati svoje vrednote ter pogled na človeka in njegovo povezanost z naravo.
It was the year of 2007 when somewhere deep in the woods, from under the strong roots of mighty oaks and beeches in the dead of the cold winter night the tranquility was disturbed by an unusual happening. Something awoke. The hidden became visible... What many forgot emerged - at first dull and indistinct, then increasingly magnificent and impressive... From the dark depths of the forest the lost song rose once more... Brezno (The Abyss) was born.
The beginning of the group foretold a period which connected the members of the band under the same ideology and offered them unforgettable moments of making music with roots, music which flows through their veins - the Folk Metal.
Current line-up: Sara (vocals), Eva (flutes, whistles), Katarina (keyboards, vocals), Mitja (bass, vocals), Max (guitars), Luka (guitars, vocals) and Matej (drums)
In the past year the band started to spread their music among people in concerts throughout Slovenia and nearby countries. At the same time they also recorded several songs which can be found on their introductory CD called Viharnik.
Band members search for inspiration in tradition of ancestors and narratives of old cultures. Through their lyrics they try to convey their values, beliefs and their view of a person and his/hers connection to nature.
