Welcome to the The Baton Rouge Tigers, Australian Football Club.
Aussie Rules football, or 'footy' as it is colloquially known, is a physical and athletic contact sport unlike any sport played in America; but which combines the best elements of Soccer, Basketball and Football to make for a fast paced, exciting and highly skilled game.
With 2004 the inaugural season, the Baton Rouge Tigers are the creation of Pat 'Vanilla Gorilla' Muller, Rob 'Zulu' Montanarro and Mick ‘Shirly’ Coyne. The team has been twice to Nationals and played as fiercely on the road as on the home field.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone with half a sack that wouldn't mind a bit of ass-whoopin' Aussie fun. And, no, that's not some kind of slang for a Turkish prison pose. I'm talkin' bout one of the the last free havens of contact sport on the planet. All you need is a pair of boots (and maybe a mouth gaurd) and you're ready to go. Hell...Robbie doesn't even wear drawers (underwear)! Ya get to knock the crap out of complete strangers and it's legal!!! At the very least, come have a pint with us (but if you don't know the secret handshake, the first round's on you - just kidding...or am I?)

Ive moved back to Brisbane for good, sorry for the late notice but i had just recently made the decision to stay only a few weeks ago. Anyways just so you know, i am glad to have met all of you, and i hope you boys give em hell this season. Cheers,
