I love most all music. Some of my favorites are obviously (by my profile music and pictures) Bruce Springsteen and the E St. Band, Jerry Lee Lewis (I actually have an extensive collection-- used to have ALL JLL records, lost them.. very sad), Prince, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, AC/DC, Stevie Raay Vaughn, The Stray Cats (and Brian Setzer), BB King, all the 50's rockers like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Gene Vincent. All the 50's Sun Records guys like Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins. I love blues like Buddy Guy and Jazz like Ella Fitzgerald.
So, I enjoy pretty much everything from 1930's blues to old rock n roll, to motown, to early metal, to 1980's hair bands.
I also like old country like Waylon Jennings, Merl Haggard and Willie Nelson.
1990's country was pretty good, too. Like Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, George Strait and others.
As for newer stuff, my friends usually have to force me to listen but when I do, I like a lot of it.
Anything that uses real instruments (as opposed to machines) and is performed by real talented artists is appreciated by me.
I can only tolerate hard rap for a little while before I start to go crazy, same goes with newer country.
The only music I CAN'T STAND is techno/dance (club) music.
So as you look at this picture of the amazing Mr. Springsteen, ponder this:
Not only is he an incredible performer and musician, but he is so, so, SO hot (and he's sixty too... yeah, makes me a little... yeah).
Movies
See above pictures. Also, Gangs of New York, American Beauty, Traffic, West Side Story, and many, many more.
Television
Books
Gosh, this is an impossible question. I love so many. Some of my all time favorites include classics like; Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, The Winter of our Discontent (a lesser known Steinbeck.. check it out..) All things Jane Austen, and Les Miserables (along with many more). But just as equally I love me some newer books as well. I am a big Philip Roth fan. His writing is brilliant even though in recent years he doesn't know when to shut up... but if you are looking for an all time great, take a look at his first novel, Letting Go.
I love just about anything by Nick Hornby, esp. About A Boy, High Fidelity, and Being Good. My new favorite writer is Lolly Winston. Her novel Good Grief is one of the best books I have ever read. It is filled with such realness, wit, and humor... you've just got to read it. And the one that I am currently reading, Happiness Sold Separately looks very good as well.
There are so many more, but I can't list them all here.
Oh, let's not forget Dr. Suess' Oh The Places You'll Go!
Heroes
I will always love you and miss you Bruce.

Hi there,I thought that it was time to change my profile a little. So, here's a little about me:
I'm the kind of girl who is a woman, but will always think of herself as a girl. I'm that girl that smiles all the time, even if there is no good reason to do so.
I'm the mom of the coolest kid ever (I know everyone says that, but in my case it's actually true- ask anyone who knows her). I am a widow, but I am trying really hard not to let that define me. But being a young widow is like a huge brand on my forehead. And I miss my husband (Bruce). So, it's a daily journey.
I'm a writer. I've always been a writer, but I just started taking it seriously this last year. I'm currently working on a book. It's "creative non-fiction", a memoir- but it may end up a novel- I don't know yet. I have a long way to go until it's ready, and it is an exercise in patience (since I have never been the most patient person in the world) and in hard work. I have such a desire to accomplish this, there have only been two other things in my life I have ever felt as strongly about; my husband and my daughter. So, I am confident that I will succeed.
I'm aggressive and I don't let anyone push me around. That has helped me out of a million situations and it has gotten me into a million others.
I have the greatest friends anyone ever had.
I love all things artistic. There is writing, of course and art- I draw and I paint. Music was my first love though, and I have been singing since I was born.
I'm also involved in theatre (although not much recently because my book has taken all my time.

...Yep. I am so straight.
And then there is:
And...
Oh, yeah- another youngish guy:
Yeah... YUM!
Oh, I like some bad boys too:
Maybe it had something to do with the size of it...it could be the way you have your categories placed too, a number of thing...but when it says "exceeded bandwidth" usually means too many comments already. I have to go in and delete from time to time...I just make sure if I like the photo...I save it jpeg...but anyway...just wanted to wish you a good weekend...I'll send smaller pics next time. You haven't by my blog...have you
