| Bio | I worked in a normal office job for a long time, listening to the radio and thinking, "I could do that?!" So one day I lied about being in college, took an internship... worked my ass off putting up tents at radio appearances and fianlly one day they let me be on the radio when one of the part-timers called in sick... Eventually I took about half the pay, to quit my full-time job, and work part-time on XL 106.7 in Orlando, Florida... A little more ass-kissing and hard work got me my full-time gig a few years later... For 3 years I was part of a Morning Talk Radio Show... Doc & Johnny in the Morning on XL 106.7 FM in Orlando... I produced the show, which means I mashed buttons and get kicked around a lot... In early 2007 there was a light shake-up... The show is now The Johnny & Jayde Morning Show... With Johnny Magic as the host... Jayde is the Co-Host... and while my name is not Johnny or Jayde... I'm a Co-Host as well... Damn my mom for not starting my name with a "J"!!! Either way, now I have some extra space to throw out my comedy gems... The show helps me get quick with my jokes, and helps give me the ability to come up with jokes on the fly about just about any topic... It also gives me a thick skin, because the 5 other people on the show are the toughest crowd I’ll ever face...
I decided in 2005, after listening to Mitch Hedberg’s Strategic Grill Locations for the 6,325th time... to give Stand Up Comedy a try... I’ve always loved to entertain people... and myself... and usually if I can make myself laugh, everyone else is laughing too... So I started bugging all the people I knew at The Orlando Improv... mostly just trying to gain as much information as I could... Finally, my boy Alex U forced me on stage to perform at Open Mic... 5 minutes and 42 seconds of pure comedy... After only 1 time on stage, I was lucky enough to pull a guest spot when Todd Glass performed the following week... I was the Orlando Winner of Bruce-Bruce’s "So You Think You’re Funny Enough" Contest... and opened for Bruce Bruce at The Bob Carr Performing Arts Center in Orlando FL in front of about 2000 people... I’ve MC’ed for Comedians such as Lord Carrett, Steve Trevino, Paul Mooney, and Tracy Morgan...
