    Briana Alexis was born in Orange County, California. Her musical journey began when she was taught by some of the greats and privileged to study with the late legendary jazz guitarist, Ted Greene. Shortly after, she attended and graduated from Grove School of Music Academy. After years performing in various bands on Hollywood's Sunset Strip, Briana decided to strike out on her own in 2007, when she formed original female rock band Absinthe. It wasn't long before the band was winning awards, opening for national acts like ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Pat Benatar and Billy Idol to name a few. They have appeared on numerous cable shows, headlined premiers, and a mass of interviews such as Playboy Magazine's radio show on Sirius Radio, where the band was interviewed and performed live on the air. They were even asked to appear on an Adidas national commercial. Absinthe has played to thousands of fans when they performed for Nascar and the Long Beach Grand Prix. In 2010 Absinthe released their debut EP, La Fée Verte, followed by a video from the first single entitled "Filthy" which received rave reviews. It's no mystery that the music industry has taken notice of Briana's guitar playing talents. She is currently endorsed by 13 different music equipment manufacturers and has graced the pages of guitar player magazine, appeared in countless interviews, and has even been a judge for several high profile guitar competitions. In the summer of 2011, Briana was approached to fill in on second guitar for a tribute to Michael Jackson's "THIS IS IT" band, featuring Tommy Organ, Alex Al and Jonathan Moffett. She was honored to be sought-after by their management team and be considered for the project. Briana is currently preparing for her upcoming instrumental solo album to be released in 2012. "I feel music is an explosive form of expression and I'm blessed to be playing it. I embrace and stay true to my heart, never settle and continue to grow. A guitar player's work is never done!"
