Briana Marela has just emerged from the sea of singer/songwriters that flourish in Seattle. In early 2007, the young musician has finished recording her first EP called Stuck in a Rhythm. Marela is not signed to a label as of yet, but managed to release her EP under the caring guidance of northwest favorite Johanna Kunin, and Kunin's talented local friends.
Produced by Eric Eagle (drummer for Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter), Marela is also joined on Stuck in a Rhythm by the incredible Steve Moore and Karl Blau. An appearance also by Paris Hurley (of Degenerate Art Ensemble, & Ribbons). Although the EP has an exceptional sound with the full band, Marela has played her shows exclusively acoustic.
Currently she has been in the studio recording a song that will appear on the 2008 Evergreen State College CD Compilation. To be released on June 14th!
