Sounds Like
BRIAN BOONE & DAVID GAMBLE - They sound like BOONE & GAMBLE! They have a sound that is all their own. Being able to play just about any style of music, from old Country and Western to current day rock-n-roll, they have many styles and influences which can be heard currently on his newest Karmanel Records release "Live the Dream" and can be purchased at shows.
And, Brian & David play alot of cover material as well. From the Beatles to KISS to Garth Brooks, Brian & David make every song their own. Brian has been dubbed "The Walking Jukebox" for many years.
Boone/Gamble has set itself up among the true Icons of the Local Pittsburgh music scene over the last 20 years. They have written songs and performed together in a variety of different venues and done work for multiple charitable organizations as well. Their countless engagements include; opening for Marty Casey {of Rockstar-INXS and L.A. Guns} as well as for bands such as; Dogs Divine, Code Whiskey, Paddle, Gordon DePaul & the Reputations, Matt Tichon marklane, SpunJacked, and many more.
BRIAN BOONE is a recognizable name across the United States today and has been involved in the Pittsburgh music industry for over twenty-five years. For all of his extensive talents and knowledge in the vast areas of the music business, he has truly become somewhat of a legend. Whether performing, booking shows, or acting as a Stage, Guitar or Lighting Technician, Brian did it all in order to truly know the industry that he was involved in. Sadly...He lost his battle with Diabetes in the fall of 2009, but his music will live on via the confines of these pages and in the hearts and minds of his fans worldwide and beyond:
Born in March of 1968, Brian was a professional entertainer for over 30 years, 20 of which he lived out as a career. He was one of the most sought after performers in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas because he was the best at what he did.
Brian started his professional career in 1973. He was only five (5) years old when his stepfather offered him a chance to perform the first song that he had ever learned to play, a lil' ditty called “Folsom Prison Blues” by the late great Johnny Cash, and with his stepfathers band; "April Flowers", Brian sang and played the guitar. That night he earned five dollars for his performance, and as he was so often heard to say when telling this tale, "to a small child that was like making a million bucks". The entertaining ‘bug’ bit Brian that night, and he decided that this was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life and although he was very young at the time, He knew this was to be his calling.
While attending high school in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, He was a member of the Traveling Chorus and joined up with several ‘garage’ Bands as a guitarist and singer, where he played the songs of some of the most influential artists of the twentieth century while continuing to hone in on the career path that he had chosen. After graduating in 1986, Brian moved on to other aspects of the music industry in an attempt to learn all there was to know about the other side of the business. He became a stage tech for the Granati Brothers and for two years he worked with a local Pittsburgh Production Company known as DeCeasar-Englar Productions. He also had a chance at this time to work with several different national acts, such as Winger, Kix, the Romantics, Cheap Trick and Styx, {just to name a few}. It was during this time that he began to establish himself as the Professional Musician that he would become over the next 23 years. Through hard work and dedication he changed with the times and yet never relinquished his true passion for the established songs of the day, and until his passing in the Fall of 2009, he shined on the stage, whether alone or along side some of the best Musicians that Pittsburgh had to offer, he gave 210% every night that he played.
It was in the summer of 1991 after this somewhat successful Solo/Band Cover career, that he decided to set his sites on a Project that would launch some of his best Creative efforts to the world, It would come to be known respectfully as; "Turn Left"...Brian would share the stage with many different performers over the next 10 years under the Turn Left banner, but only one of them would prove out in the end. Brian stepped out in faith and introduced David Gamble to the world, and The Acoustic Duo was born...
DAVID G. THE BIOGRAPHY
..
David is a talented, strong ranged vocalist, and Singer/Songwriter, who started his career at an early age as well. He was born on the eve of a New Year when tensions were running high and the whole world was suspended on the brink of Change. He learned to sing at this early age by utilizing his families extensive record collections. His parents influenced him with the styles of Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Andy Williams and Johnny Horton, and his aunts and uncles turned him on to the likes of the Doors Jethro Tull, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, and Pink Floyd. He made his way through High School forming and playing in local garage bands in which he incorporated his own original works along with some of the more popular Cover songs of the day. Upon graduating he began working in the local music scene as a stage tech for General Talent Associates, {a management company established by local Pittsburgh musicians}and under the careful watchful eye of Legendary Pittsburgh Sound Engineer Mr.G. Jones, he and his partner Jeff Stephen, aka "KITT" worked with several local Pittsburgh area bands such as Band of Angles, Stiletto, Bon Ton Roulette, Ice Cream Headache, and many others. They progressed into the national scene by working and touring as Rodie's with "Bauchman Turner Overdrive" in the mid to late 80's.
David came home from this tour and started his first all Original Project along with his three cousins {Bill, Ted, and Ray} and a young Metal Drummer by the name of B. Vatorich. Crimson Diamond would come to be known by many other names over the next few years, such as; Gryphon, JamerRemaj and CrossFire-{I and II}, just to name a few, but his Original writing would not even begin to truly see fruition until David himself was challenged by a guitar player named Brian Boone from a band called Turn Left. Taking a break from the Original Project, David set out to perform cover songs with Brian at local venues throughout Pittsburgh and soon they were writing their own songs and collaborating on their first attempt at recording. It was decided that it would be a cassette single containing two Original songs respectfully entitled; Here and Now and The Test of Time. The year was 1999 and The Acoustic Duo was born.
In 2006, Brian and David recorded their first full CD effort, “Live the Dream”, The CD debuted in March of that same year at a CD Release party in Connelsville Pennsylvania on Brian's Birthday, 101 copies were sold that night and the Album continues to get fantastic reviews from all of the Boone/Gamble fans that have either purchased it, seen it performed LIVE, or heard it on local and internet radio stations. Brian and David continued to perform throughout the next three years, and as was the case with Brian {who put together Benefit shows for The Salvation Army and The Red Cross} they expanded their avenues as well as their fan base by performing at these benefits with many other prominent local Pittsburgh Musicians. Brian and David together were not only a Creative Musical Force in an often times seemingly unforgiving world, but thanks to The Heart of Brian Boone they were a force of Love as well...Brian and David were Brothers, they were Friends, and they were Partners, they toured across The United States from New Jersey to Alabama and together they were not only travelers on a road that has spanned and traversed over Twenty years, they transformed that road by forging one of their own.
Today is the 28th day of January in the year of Our Lord 2010. Brian Boone has since gone on to be with the Lord, His life was not only a career, but a wonder, full of blessing and Love for those who knew him and for me it has been an adventure as well...Rest My Brother...PEACE
Thank You For the Support
God Bless
Rock On!
