Brian Barritt's Interests
General
Love, sensitivity, creativity. Discovering idyllic places all over the globe - Alps, etc. considering writing a book on tripping in paradise.
Music
Archeaoacoustics (stone-age sounds)Sonic healing,Resonation (particularly the 111Hz.vibration)The Barrittones & work of Flinton Chalk.
Trance - Ambient LSD inspired sounds ie. Megatripolis,Liquid Sound Design.
Krautrock - Ash Ra Temple (Ashra)Manuel Gottshing, Cosmic Couriers etc.
“Future of Sound" - Martyn Ware's present production. and IBVA systems - images and sounds relating to brain-wave activity, primarily the experimental work of Lu Chi the Psi-Chic.
Movies
Liked "A Scanner Darkly"but don't go to the cinema much in England see most of my films abroad. Last film re-seen was the original version (as near as you can get) of Fritz Langs “Metropolis” (30,000 extras for Christs sake)that opened doors for me into previously unexpected realms peopled by strange and wonderful Germanians, and dined at a table that was given as a present to my host by Gustaf Frohlich the mainman of the film. Prior to that I watched Ilona Zoik's
work and a Russian film in Switzerland that was made in Kazakhstan with French, German and Italian sub-titles, all languages of which I understood nothing but with the sounds and images so superbly orchestrated & arranged that I understood anyway.
Last remark I remember from an English movie was (from "eXistenZ" (games theme) the line I liked was "normal existence is life on PAUSE" gotta be true.
Television
Anything outlandish but not necessarily horrific - lots of humour."Ab Fab", "League of Gentlemen", "Little Brit". "Have I Got Old News For You" "Simpsons" etc. The nearest I get to a Soap is seeing an occasional "The Sopranos".
Liked "In the Shadow of the Vampire"
Last liked; "Wedding Belles" Irvine Welsh.
Books
Love almost unreadable ancient books that are brought to me by almost unbelievable ancient people. Also like cartoons.Robert Crumb & the psychedelic tribe,Bryan Talbot, comic books like 2,000AD. and stuff by Alan Moor & Eddie Campbell etc.
Heroes
Dr.Timothy Leary. TURN ON, TUNE IN & DROP OUT!
Worked with Tim for a number of years de-coading the images and visions projected by the entoptics (inner optics)of the central nervous system, classifying and tabulating the 4th & 5th dimensional areas ie. circuits 5,6,& 7.in Tim's "Neurologic" system.
I am a psychedelic adventurer who wanders through the aeons, my real age lost in the fathoms of time - first tripped in 1962 - interested in excitement, expanded consciousness, inner vision & it's outer manifestation***

Hi Brian, Manuel will accompany W.F. It was Mr.Sommerfeld and his art of improvisation on piano who inspired Manuel to accompany a silent movie improvising live on computer :-))) If you happen to be in Berlin Manuel welcomes you to this event!
