"Auburdeen definitely shows a man that knows himself and the range he is capable of. If there is such a thing as a polished demo sound, Bethke achieves it."

“The Glass Album”
Osseo acoustic pop-folkster Brian Bethke has recently released “The Glass Album”, a collection of songs written by the artist, but sometimes accented by drummer Derek Biederman and bass player Jacob Ulwelling. Bethke has worked his way up from the occasional gig to full time performer making the rounds through the Midwest. Vocally, Bethke has a distinct wail and moan that does well to convey the sincerity of motivation and inspiration, and with his slightly higher range, might illicit a comparison to pop act Placebo. While most songs on “The Glass Album” fall into the singer/songwriter mold, there is genuine emotion portrayed and enough less-traveled paths taken to warrant a listen and separates Bethke from the (over-populated) herd of acoustic backed story-tellers. Check out The Brian Bethke band (and support the artist if the music moves you) at cdbaby.com, Apple iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic and Best Buy.

Eight years of fatigue and chronic pain has given Brian Bethke much insight and inspiration. In 2005 Brian was misdiagnosed with a chronic illness called fibromyalgia. Since that time Bethke has released two successful albums that landed him airplay of Radio and Internet stations through out the United States and abroad. After coming to terms with this illness and finishing up his 2009 summer folk tour the tables turned again. “I had just come to terms with living the rest of my life with chronic pain when I was finally correctly diagnosed with chronic Lymes which is very treatable” Says Bethke. Now awakening from the fog that has been over him for so long Bethke is Back to the studio and plans to release his new album “Essentials and Potentials” Early 2010. This new album will have an array of unreleased songs that Bethke has written through the past 10 years along with some new versions of some fan favorites.
