Brian Clayton & The Green River Band consists of 6 of the finest country musicians in the area. Brian Clayton, band leader, was raised in Garwood, NJ. He started playing drums and singing at the early age of 4 and by 12 formed his first band. As a veteran rock drummer Brian played in numerous bands and performed in the areas’ best venues. His rock years culminated with an extended run with The Swinging Johnsons. Brian discovered, however, his true passion, performing country music. In 2001 he assembled a group of musicians to form 'The Green River Band'.
Lead guitarist Mike Zack is a veteran of the tri-state country circuit. As well as performing, Mike is also a full time private guitar teacher.
On pedal steel, is Bob Miano, another seasoned country musician. Bob has played with countless bands in the area.
Keyboard player and fellow Swingin Johnsons' alumni, John McDonough, adds everything from honky-tonk piano, horns, strings and even banjo to the sound of the band. John is a full time musician and is also the band’s arranger.
Bass player Jeff Gray keeps the groove down. Jeff also is a full time private music instructor.
Keeping the beat is drummer, Bob Masucci. Bob is a longtime blues and rockabilly player. Bob teaches privately from his home studio. He is also owner of the famous Blue Van and safely drives us to all our gigs.
BC & the GRB, has played many of the areas hottest venues, including Ballys' Wild Wild West Casino, The Whiskey Café, The Honky Tonk Saloon, The Wyld Horse Saloon, Matty T's Roadhouse, Don’s, The TK Coral, Seasons, 38 West Club, Tequilas Bar and Grill, Jenkinsons Nightclub and The Cancun Cantina as well as many private parties and events. The band also works with the Colgate Country Showdown as backing band for contestants playing numerous local and state level competitions, performing at Hershey Park Amphitheater and The Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts. In addition, they have played a wide variety of county fairs and outdoor festivals throughout the Northeast. Brian Clayton and the Green River band has opened for many Nashville country artists including Josh Turner, Jeff Bates and James Otto and has had the pleasure of performing with, and backing, country legend Little Jimmy Dickens. BC&GRB is also the backing band for country artist Jasmine Morgan and as been the backing band for singer-songwriter Gary Campbell.
