Bio
Drummer, percussionist, music director, educator, clinician, and composer, Las Vegas resident Brian Czach (pronounced “Zak”) has been traveling and performing all around the world. Making his living as a successful freelance musician has allowed him to perform in all different musical styles and genres. Brian says, "I enjoy playing in different contexts all the time. I love playing in a big band one night and then having to switch gears and play in a rock group or a swingin' trio or a in latin jazz group the next night." For Brian, it’s all the same thing. MUSIC is the key element and Brian’s playing is the perfect synthesis of taste, a deep pocket, support for the singer and/or soloist, and a seemingly endless vocabulary.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Born into a musical family in suburban upstate New York, Brian couldn’t help but want to play the drums. At age 9, he started taking private drum lessons with an instructor named Don Bush. Already exposed to rock, jazz, and latin dance styles at age 11 and playing professionally with the Revelaires, the family band on weekends, Mr Bush gave Brian the skills for sight-reading and soloing.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In high school, Brian gained performing experience in the school orchestras and jazz bands along with his friends in the rock group Bluesnick while continuing to play with the Revelaires. He played at many of the regional and state music conferences and was picked out of all the drummers in upstate New York for the drum chair in the All-State Jazz Ensemble. He also performed regularly with the Empire State Jazz Orchestra and Percussion Ensemble based in Albany, New York.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He went on to attend the Ithaca College School of Music, where he studied percussion with world-renowned marimba player Gordon Stout and studied jazz drum set with Steve Brown. While attending Ithaca College, Brian became proficient at playing all of the mallet instruments and honed his drum set skills in the big band jazz ensemble. At this time, Brian was also performing with many groups outside of school such as the Alex Meixner Quartet, The Strand, Al Meixner Trio, and the Tim Collins Trio.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After graduating and receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion Performance, Brian began performing on cruise ships for Holland America Line in the Show Band Orchestra. In two and a half years of working with different orchestras of the cruise line, he had the privilege of seeing much of the world along with performing with such diverse artists as The Shirelles, The Marcells, Bowser and Sha Na Na, Ian Finkel, and Pearl Kaufman, among many others.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In November 2001, Brian decided to move to New York City where he could further expand his musical experiences and skills. Subsequently, Brian was reunited with his friend Tony DeSare (Telarc Recording Artist) and has appeared on the records “Want You”, “Last First Kiss”, and the latest which is slated to be released in January of 2009. The trio has performed in such venues as Birdland and Café Carlyle in New York City, and all around the world. The trio has been fortunate enough to travel to Asia several times including Hong Kong and Tokyo. Notably, when Tony was asked to perform with a big band in Australia, Brian got the call to accompany Tony and MD the show. While living in NYC, Brian met someone who would greatly influence his career and life. Headliner singer and multi-instrumentalist Domenick Allen (Foreigner) gave Brian the call and so began an on-going musical relationship as his Musical Director and drummer. Performing with Mr. Allen and his show “It’s All About The Music” on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships has given Brian vast experience in MD-ing a show and performing on stage for an audience.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brian currently resides with his wife in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is pursuing even greater achievements in music and in life. In the short time he has lived there, he has shared the stage with Clint Holmes, Kelly Clinton, Ronnie Rose, and currently subbing at the show “The Rat Pack Is Back”. On other occasions, Brian is very busy playing drums and percussion in rock and country bands, recording sessions, shows of all kind, regional theater productions, singer-songwriters, jazz groups, symphony concerts, teaching drum/percussion lessons, and arranging and composing his own music.-------------------------- ................................Get ..MySpace Layouts.. from ..nUCLEArcENTURy.COM.. ..OR.. create your own ..MySpace Layout.. using ..MySpace profile editor..!!!.... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..Watch this video to see me perform the "Foreigner" section of "It's All About The Music" with Domenick Allen!.. .. .. .. .. .. ..Watch this video to see part 1 of me step away from the drums and solo all over the stage in Domenick Allen's "It's All About The Music"... .. .. .. .. .. ..Part 2 of me soloing all over the stage with Domenick Allen in "It's All About The Music"... .. .. .. .. .. ........ .. .. .. .. ...................... -

As Musical Director and drummer for Domenick Allen, Brian has gained much knowledge and experience in rehearsing and leading a band. Domenick has been recently appearing as a headliner on the Las Vegas Strip with Brian behind the drums (and sometimes all over the stage!) Brian currently tours and records with Tony DeSare (Telarc Records) and Domenick Allen (Foreigner). Brian and Tony are long-time friends and musical associates all the way back from their high-school years. Currently touring the nation and world in support of Tony's new CD release, "Last First Kiss" is climbing the charts and becoming a successful cross-over jazz/pop album. Brian also enjoys free-lancing as a sideman with other artists of all styles in and around the Las Vegas area. -
