Brian Green is an accomplished guitarist/composer whose music floats between many genres including jazz, ambient, Brazilian and groove music. His quartet (guitar, piano, bass, and drums) consists of musicians who are highly trained in jazz and classical music, but together, they seamlessly meld various genres into a unique and accessible sound. Brian Green, as a result of these diverse influences, composes instrumental music with a youthful energy and emotional appeal that reaches a broad audience.
At only twenty-four years old, this Los Angeles native has built up an impressive resume. Green was a Spotlight Award finalist in 2000, which gave him the opportunity to perform at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with acclaimed pianist, Gerald Clayton. He was also honored as a Clifford Brown/Stan Getz Fellow and was selected to participate in the 2001 Grammy Band. These awards opened the doors that allowed Green to perform at the 2002 Playboy Jazz Festival as well as at the 2002 Monterey Jazz Festival.
Brian Green was accepted into the prestigious Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California in 2002, where he began pursuing a degree in Studio Jazz Guitar. He completed one year before being approached to play with Warner Bros. recording artist Michael Bublè. Green toured with Bublè for a year and a half, performing at such notable venues as the Sydney Opera House, the Hollywood Bowl, and Town Hall. He also recorded on the Grammy-nominated album, “Its Time,” which has sold over 5.5 million copies. On this album, Green is a featured guitar soloist on several songs, including Bublè’s hit single, “Home.”
In 2005, Green decided to leave Bublè and finish his music education at USC, while concentrating on the development of his career as a composer and artist. He graduated with honors in 2007, while recording his debut album. The recording, “Scenic Route” is now available in select stores nation wide as well as online. Currently, Green is working to promote his own career and also performs with a variety of other artists, including Verve recording artist Jessie Baylin. You can find Green playing regularly around the Los Angeles area.

Hello to all my friends out in the world. Maybe you remember … we got some of the same roots. Today’s a very special day for me. My album “Dreams and Shadows” is out now and available at cdbaby. com. 14 Songs … each of them is telling its own story. With influences of great songwriters like Kristofferson, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot or Jim Croce … but most of all it’s my own thing. I’ve just posted the title song and another new song. Maybe you got some minutes to listen, maybe give me a feedback … and if you enjoy it feel free to buy it. Have a great day and keep on dreaming… your friend Shiregreen
THANK YOU for being so gracious and wonderful and for making lastnight a great show! Everyone who heard you play for the first time was REALLY impressed. So proud of you!
Hi Brian, hope everything's alright with you in LA. I spent a wonderful time in the south of France and wrote some new songs. Share the feeling of the waves and the shore and the tide and listen to "Aquablue" and two other new songs on myspace ... All the best for you ... Your friend Shiregreen from Germany
