Sounds Like
Sounds like a long-tailed cat in a rockin' chair factory.
Infected with the bugs of a timeless beat, Oklahoma City's Brian Dunning & The Rock n Roll Trio, live and thrive off the sounds of rockabilly. It is a music that started in the rock-n-roll of fast blues and boogie-woogie music before it then poured down the throats of southern Hillbillies like so many trucker's late night bop pills, and has now possessed the likes of rockabilly spirits like Brian Lee Dunning and the rest of his bunch. Brian Lee Dunning has been entertaining rockabilly fans for practicaly his entire life. Raised on his grandparents' Bob Wills 78s and his parents' Elvis records, his love of American music and style carved him into one of the most energetic and dynamic rock n roll front men in the business. Brian's incredible stage persona and high energy show has not only captured the hearts and imaginations of the younger generation of rock n roll fans, but also appeals to the first generation of Carl Perkins, Elvis and Buddy Holly enthusiast. Brian founded The Poison Okies, a rockabilly band which achieved cult-like status during its ten-year life span. The Okies proved to be a testing ground for ever bass player, guitarist, and drummer in the state of Oklahoma who have had any mentionable career in roots music. In the following years, Brian founded a solo act, Brian Lee Dunning and The Rock n Roll Trio, another rockabilly powerhouse which has been rocking audiences all over the U.S.A. In addition to his endevors with the Rock n Roll Trio, Brian has also toured the nation with the reknowned Johnny Cash tribute show,"He Wears Black". He has shared the stage with such Legends as Jerry Lee Lewis,Wanda Jackson, Big Al Downing, Chuck Berry, and Sonny Burgess. A seamless Elvis tribute artist,Brian has portrayed the King at Fantasy Themed Events, sang on the soundtrack for a New York theme parks' Elvis themed show, and was one of only 35 entertainers chosen to perform at the Elvis tribute contest held in the King's hometown of Tupelo Mississippi. Brian Lee brings many of his spot-on skills as a tribute artist to his exciting traditional rockabilly performances. His powerfull singing voice evokes a style similar to the early recordings of the legendary Johnny Burnette. Brian Lee's dynamic stage show, his peerless energy, and his vocal delivery make him one of the most exciting Rockabilly acts of this or any other time!
