Brian Fife and Band could best be described as pop-rock-lounge-retropianocore ...or maybe it's best not to categorize them but to enjoy them for the intriguing musical creation they are. A Brian Fife and Band show is a unique blend of high energy power pop, thought-provoking and sometimes humorous lyrics, and really bad dancing. Brian currently has two full-length releases, both produced by Joe Dilillo. The most recent, "So Nice To Be With You" offers a treasure trove of sonic delights and goes way beyond what one might expect from an independent pop recording. Brian writes most of the material and finds inspiration from just about anything. Topics range from vacationing in a resort town called Hel, to the last player chosen in the NFL draft, to a day where nothing happens at all.
Brian Fife and Band is currently working on a new CD of all originals. Recording took place in March, and the CD will be released at a rockin' live concert on June 13. You can get updates on how it's going from Brian's blog.
