Our experiences shape us. They bring out the best and the worst in us. Brian Fraaza found this to be true as he began to write music as a means of coping and processing the messy events of his world several years back. “I never really set out to write worship tunes...that's just what came out . There was this longing in my soul for hope and healing and an overwhelming sense of gratitude and a hunger for God's face. I just wrote about what was really going on.”
That raw honesty was evident on Fraaza's fist album, 'All I Need,' in 2007. The album had a raw and organic feel that complimented the messages of realness, brokenness and redemption.
Fraaza's second album, 'I Love,' is set for release on November 7, 2009. Fraaza wanted to use this album to communicate “the reality that life is pretty messy. Nobody’s perfect. I’m one broken dude. But there is hope. I want people to know Jesus. Period. I want them to experience the transforming power of His love and to love Him. I want people to learn what it means to worship Jesus.“
Fraaza serves as the Worship Pastor at The River, a church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His experiences there and the diversity of the community at The River have helped to shape his musical style, a style which he classifies as a “crazy mix-up of rock, blues, funk and jazz”
Fraaza lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with his wife Adrienne and their daughter Madelynn.
