I love playing tennis, but based on my gut, I don't play nearly enough! Still dig playing keys but much like tennis, I don't play nearly enough. I love playing with my kids, but like everything else, I don't do it enough! Seems to be a pattern here...

I dig most music from Mozart to Oscar Peterson to Metalica, as long as it truly is music, meaning both melody and rhythm (I'm so picky that way : ). I prefer stuff that takes you somewhere vs. "meditation, never going anyplace, want to grow up to be bad smooth jazz" crap. I do prefer music that requires a certain degree of proficiency by the musicians (notice I didn't say programmers) and skilled word craftsman / craftswomen who actually have something to say. That being said... I still love to ROCK!

Prefer action flicks...isn't THAT a surprise!
Television
Outside of the NFL, not much worth watching.
Books
Want to ruin your day? Read The Omnivore's Dilemma. Want to make it worse? Read The Creature from Jekyll Island . Way too much truth here but they're both great books. Can you handle the truth?! Need peace? Try the Bible... Jesus will give you peace!

I am married to an awesome and hot chick who doesn't mind that I still seem to be lost in the 80's... still won't cut my hair... and tolerates the fact I probably say "dude" and "that Rocks" way too much! I have 3 great kids (though they are all LOUD) ranging from 5 - 20... yes, that means I'm getting old!
I am blessed to get to play music with some great players around town, at church ( www.communitylifefellowhship.com ), and on occasion, hit the road for a weekend or so to keep my fingers in it. I guess you can take the player off the road, but you don't ever really take the desire to play on road out of the player. Any day playing music beats any day NOT playing...
Many people ask me if I miss playing on the road and to a certain degree...OF COURSE! How many jobs are there out there that you get applause every 3-4 minutes? Not many! How many jobs are there where people start fan clubs for you? Not many! How many jobs are there where you get to travel the world and get treated like royalty? Ok, there are probably more of these but still...NOT MANY! Working with Eddie Money for 8 years was a blessings, moving to TN and working with several Country and Christian artists was also a blessings, but in the end, being home with my family is a larger blessing!
