Brian Ho's Organ Jazz group is the unique blend of original and standard material that expands on the legendary sound of jazz with elements of funk, blues, hip-hop, latin, and soul.
Brian Ho plays the Hammond B3 organ. He solos and comps with his right hand while his left hand and feet play organ bass in the same tradition as organ pioneers, Jimmy Smith and Dr. Lonnie Smith.
Joining him is a combination of some of the most talented musicians in the greater Bay Area.
Oscar Panglinan plays tenor, alto, and soprano sax. His solos are soul grabbing as he channels his idols Cannonball Adderly and modern saxophonists such as John Ellis. Jim Frink is one of the most versatile drummers where he's able to play all styles from New Orleans Funk to swing to Be-Bop. He has studied with Scot Amendola and Ray Brown.
Together, they are some of the most creative, unique, and forward-thinking young musicians in jazz today.
