The 'New Country Americanna' genre is hard to pin down as there is such a variety in the music. Brian Hughes and the LoneSharks play what they believe to be their own brand of Country Rock/ Americanna. Check it out.
Brian Hughes and the LoneSharks are one of Scotland's finest Original New Country Bands.
With three albums under his belt, Brian's songs have been recognised not only in the UK but also America where he has attracted the attention of Atlanta Music Group, Georgia.
This 47 year old Scot born, bred and still residing in Dumbarton, an industrial town a few miles from Loch Lomond, leads a band full of talent and enthusiasm, as they play live in Country Festivals and venues nationwide building up an evergrowing fanbase along the way.
The live show is not to be missed as the band power their way through a rollercoaster set taking the audience with them all the way. The performance has been described as 'Bruce Springsteen meets Garth Brooks'.

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to the UK in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. I figured that with you being a musician that you would really be able to appreciate this show. Kevin made a little video at my studio last week while we were recording....check it out http://myspacetv. com/index. cfm?fuseaction=vids. individual&videoid=34589518
There are a series of shows in England and Scotland....dates are on my myspace.
We won't be doing my material, but it is a really special show, and Tommy is a true rock'n'roll legend.
Anyway, take care and hope to see you there.
