Sounds Like
John Haitt, Cat Stevens, Leon Redbone and of course himself. A powerful, yet warm baritone will touch a part of your soul. His laid back yet intense style of deliverly will capture your attention and his words will take you on a journey of imagination mixed with a touch of humor based in reality.
A self taught musician on multiple instruments, Brian, started performing and writing shortly after taking up guitar. He played solo for a number of years until he formed the group called "Fresh Water". A name he carried for about ten years that ended in Tucson Arizona. There he hooked up with an existing duo by the name of "Woodrose" and took up playing the base guitar. They played all over the state of Arizona doing folk, country, bluegrass, and acoustic blues material with three part harmony and multi-instrumental abilities. He also was involved in a songwriters group with about twenty-five other writers, learning and honing the craft, and co-writing songs with other writers.
In 1984, Brian moved back to Maryland and went back to playing solo gigs, mainly in the Fells Point area of Baltimore. In 1989 he formed the group "Blind Dogs" and recorded ten of Brian's' songs. Because of a name conflict he changed the name to "Night Street" and released a cassette tape, locally, in 1994. A solid performer that's been bar tested for 25 plus years. From solo work to duo's and trios, 4 and 5 piece bands. Has roots deep in country, bluegrass, folk, Rock and roll and the blues. A songwriter of many styles and flavors with versatile vocals to get the point across. In 2001 He released a solo CD "Catfish Moon" of 11 original songs. It is available at all gigs as well as at CDbaby.com.
