"Brian Mazzaferri’s "All Roads Lead To Roads" will send your mind into a state of bliss"
-IndieMusicStop.com
In late 2007, Brian Mazzaferri released his debut album, "All Roads Lead To Roads," on Sophic Records. The reviews were unanimously positive, and Brian soon embarked on a midwest tour to support the album, as hundreds of copies flew off the proverbial shelves. Now, as momentum builds, spreading out from Chicago across the midwest, Brian’s songs about the eternal WHY are striking chords with an ever-broadening fanbase of thinkers, who aren’t afraid to voice their strong opinions on his music (just look at his iTunes listener reviews and you’ll see what I mean).
Brian’s sound has been called a cross between Wilco and Rufus Wainwright, with a dash of Chris Thile thrown in for good measure, and he wears his influences proudly, everyone from Billy Joel to Moxy Fruvous to Larry Hart.
But the heart of what Brian does is in the lyrics he writes. Always seeking to get at the core of the subject matter he’s writing and then dig one layer deeper, this Singer/Songwriter/Philosopher is relentless in his quest for meaning.
With new songs coming constantly, an ever-expanding performance radius, and an ear for the truth, Brian’s future looks bright as he rushes headlong to meet it.
"This is a musician who really knows what he’s doing"
Hey! I went to the open mic last night but I unfortunately missed your performance. I tried to get your attention to ask you if you played yet but I think that you would have thought I was a crazy lady. Anyway, I was rooting for you the rest of the time :)
Well, sometimes you have to lay down the law, what can I say? Haha.
East Coast later this summer? When? Where? Do you have details yet? I will do my darnedest to be there! Although I totally hear you on the gas thing; one station in my hometown went up ten cents in four hours.
Well, anyway, I hope things are going well in the Midwest, and I'm anxious to hear about your name change and the new song and the NEW EP! Eek!
Hey my name is Carley, I'm an intern at Rhythm Cafe in Chicago and I was just checking out your site. I'm diggin your song Snow fall! If you're ever in need of a recording studio, rehearsal space, or facility for a listening party or event please think of us!
I spent a lot of time in my car today, and I decided that I had two things to say to you.
1. I love "Lime Green Lamborghini" (or however you spell it). I love it a lot.
2. Why the crap don't you do shows in New England? I'd be there in a heartbeat! There are tons of places in Boston and even Portland where you could rock out!
Well, Captain Mazzaferri, it was marvelous to play with you (especially with the excellent mantra of "Why not?"). Thanks for inviting me, singing some kick-ass harmonies, and convincing Joel to also sing like the absurd lost members of the Temptations. C ya 'round soon.
thanks a lot for the nice comment, Brian! Chicago is such a small world, isn't it? Can't believe we know all those same people. Hope to run into you in town! Best, Jeanne
Hi, Brian. Thanks for adding me. Great voice ;) We're getting ready to release my second album. I'll let you know when it drops. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for being a new friend and for your comment about DC/AC... It would be an pleasure to have you play a set for our Sunday parties sometime... Looking forward to seeing you live...
