About me:

My name is Brian M. Worley (Brian M.W.); I have been writing ever since I was six years old, and now, it is finally time for me to share something with the masses. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a part of the city called Mt. Airy. A lot of the experiences that I had growing up seems to have manifested within the hearts and minds of my characters. Most of the people that I create are loosely based off of people that I know (even myself sometimes) which makes what they might be thinking, at any given time, appear to be more real; simply because the person that they are based on would have thought that way. A lot of “Psycho-Gehenna” began as pure fiction, but I believe that there is some truth to it in the end. And “H.O.T.E.L.” is a suspense thriller that came to me in a nightmare that I had once while returning from a life-changing endeavor in Swansea, South Carolina. My harrowed past has thankfully led me toward a bright future, and despite my many hardships (like literally getting stabbed in the back by my best friend and experiencing death, up close and personal, for the first time) I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I did it my way! For now … and forever… My first novel is entitled, "Psycho-Gehenna" or "Mind-Hell." It is a horrific, mystery, science-fiction, thriller. I combined the three genres together in order to come up with a new style of fiction writing. These words are the sum of the rules of the hunt. A demented billionaire (who lives by these rules) has decided to tempt fate and test the limits of the human experience by building a hotel that is actually a human roach trap, wherein, people check in, but they don't check out. One man inadvertantly becomes a catalyst to an experiment that is all just one big part of the antagonist's dilapidated sense of reality. As he searches for the meaning of his own life he finds only death; and the means of bringing it about as he tests his prey in order to find out if they are even worthy of being hunted by him. I took an unconventional approach to the premise of this novel while trying to make the unbelievable into something more acceptable. It was a challenge, but you will like the end result.
