I don't usually like to say anything about myself because it always ends up being cheesy or really cliché but I am studying Teaching English as a Foreign Language and vocational ministry and hope to move abroad someday (and be a missionary). I think I have been extremely blessed these passed few years especially. I have had the oppotunity to travel to Europe and I spent a month in China teaching English and a month in India working at a children's home. I have one year left at the university and then who knows where I'll go or what I will do. I'm a really big nerd. Somewhere growing up I missed a lot of cues. I don't like being a girl most of the time because I don't like having to do so many things to be considered "beautiful". High heels hurt, make-up is expensive, nail polish is unnecessary, hair takes too long to fix in the mornings, leg-shaving was started by prostitutes, and I typically buy all my clothes from thrift stores -- hence why I don't have a boyfriend. I am a huge fan of Star Trek and when I was younger I would choose going to Star Trek conventions as my birthday party. My social life in high school existed only because I joined marching band. That should explain any questions you had about me. In the future I hope to learn how to surf, join the peace corps, backpack around Europe, learn a foreign language, meet new people, learn new ideas, and experience different cultures. I also hope that I can find ways to help other people and share my faith with them.

Yeah, it really wasn't Matt's flaws that ticked me off, though: It was how people were telling Matt about how bad of a minister Jimmy was. They never tell him the good things and it makes me mad. They think Matt is perfect, when he isn't. It makes me feel like those people who are talking bad about Jimmy can't be trusted to not talk bad about me or anyone else when we leave the room. It's not everyone, though. Mostly a handful. So, it's not a huge deal. It just made me angry.
I went to San Antonio once... unfortunately it was basically flooded that weekend. Still, it should be fun! And yeah, Spring Break here seems a little earlier than I always remembered it, but I guess we'll see.
The Decemberists are maybe my favorite band ever, and they're playing in Birmingham in April. It's kinda far away, time-wise, but I'm still way excited about it.

I think we're trying to come back during my sisters Spring Break, which is sometime in March (I'm going to a Decemberists concert in April, YAY!). It's not definite yet, though. And no, no facebook.
Yeah I do work that night. ahhhh i always work Friday nights. lol. I won't get off until about 11ish. And yeah I do know Thea fairly well. I talk to her quite a bit at church. She's cool!

Yeah I really miss hanging out with you too! I feel like I haven't seen you hardly at all this semester. That makes me sad! We need to do something soon!! I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights, but I'm off on Tuesday thru Thursday. Starbucks actually sounds good......I want to try that strawberry mocha drink or the one that has caramel in it? I don't know what they're called!! lol
