The diversity of music that I listen to greatly inspires and influences me as an artist. Music is universal. I believe that it shouldn't be judged. I don't hate any kind of music, or any bands or other artists, because everyone has their own voice. No one's tone is the same, you will never have any singer's in the world who sound the same. First off, I am one complex girl. I may seem complicated, and I probably am, though once you get to know me I'm pretty simple. I'm a down to earth person. I express myself through music. It's my emotional outlet. It keeps me sane.
Music has been a part of my life since I was born. Literally. I was born to music in the hospital, and have been singing since I could talk. I appreciate all types of music. I have a very diverse musical interest. I think if you are a true musician, you have the ablility to appreciate music in general and all its forms, not JUST the type you sing.
I also love to read and write. Not only music, but poetry, short stories etc. Those are my creative outlets in life - without them I'd go mad. There's deep meaning behind what I do and say - and I channel all that in my music. I am very over-analytical, I think wayyy too much and over analyze every detail of every situation.
I DON'T get and NEVER HAVE been star struck. I just can't squeel and go crazy when I see someone famous. I don't see celebs as anything more than average people with great talent and recognition for their talents. That is how I would want to be treated if I was/will ever be a star. I honestly can't get hyped up when I am in the presence of a celebrity. I have always been that way, it just doesn't thrill me.
I'm not all about being the center of attention. I'm very modest.
People usually misunderstand me, what im about and the things I say. I'm a rather shy and introverted person, yet once you get to know me I'm totally outgoing and extroverted. I'm a rather bubbly and talkative person. I tend to talk a lot, especially when I'm nervous. I laugh a lot too.
Other than music, I love sports and Harry Potter. Yes, I am a total Harry Potter nerd and I don't care what people say about it. I can talk about Harry Potter for hours on end. Hockey is my favourite sport, I'm a Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
I love going to the park and just swinging on the swings and singing. It makes me feel alive to feel the wind in my hair, and to reach out to the sky. I LOVE the rain. Everything it represents, and metaphorically signifies. I find the rain magical.
I always say and try to live by the words - "If you don't risk anything, You risk everything." I try to live each moment to the fullest.
I love meeting new people and making new friends. Im not "cool" or "popular" according to the high school standards. I've never been the one with a huge group of friends. I'd rather have a few close one's that I can trust and respect and who trust, love and respect me back for who I am as a WHOLE PERSON, not just certain aspects of me and my personality.
I'm going to be that girl that everyone thought would fail, the one no one thought would make it. I'm going to surprise everyone that broke me down and never had faith in me, and they're going to regret it. I know I can do it, I know I can make it, but I need some help and support first! =)
The reason I sing and write music is because not only is music my life and makes me happy, it has helped me through so much in my life. Good and bad and my one major aspriations is that my music will put a smile on someone's face and/or help them through a tough day, like other amazing artists have done for me. I want people to be able to relate to my songs, and that it can just help them get by, or when they're in a mood they'll play my music and it will help them. I can't tell you all how many times that has happened to me, and it has helped me more than anyone will ever know and I want more than anything for my music to do that for someone else. I want to share my music with the WORLD! That, and how supportive and how happy my fans are is what gets keeps me writing music, and singing and performing. Being able to brighten someone's day is the higlight of my life, and makes me feel like I'm making a difference. Music isn't a priviledge for everyone, for most it's life, survivcal, a necessity everyday - I know, because it is for me. LOVE YOU ALL! <3
