Born and raised between Shreveport Louisiana and St. Paul, Minnesota, Brian picked up the guitar at the age of seven and hasn't put it down. Brian has shared the stage with industry names such as Buddy Guy, Lonnie Brooks, Corey Stevens, and Luther Allison, bringing a developing reputation for a "rare, addictive, and undefinable charisma" to every performance. Based now in St. Louis Missouri, he's found a city that lends itself to his soulful performances and extensive blues influences, and a city with audiences and a growing fan base that welcome his innovation, energy, and originals. He's quickly acquired a rhythm section comprised of talented players with work history in some of the cities best known bands, as well as nationally touring acts. The group's unusual chemistry as performers combined with each of their technical expertise and intimidating ability as "feel" players creates a high impact experience every time they hit the stage.
Mike Gilfone got his first drumset at age four from his father (also a drummer) and began private instruction soon after. He played in concert, marching, and jazz bands all through jr. high and high school along with numerous bands outside of school. He then furthered his education studying percussion at Berklee College of Music and Webster University. He is a hard-hitting, aggressive drummer that has performed all over the country both live and in the studio with such artists as Sheryl Crow, Scott Weiland (STP/Velvet Revolver), Bret Michaels (Poison), Phil Chen (Jeff Beck/Rod Stewart), Charmaine Neville, Ingrid Berry, George Porter (Meters), Chris Ho (Smokey Robinson), Eric Byak (Disney) along with many others. Mike draws from a wide variety of influences ranging from jazz to heavy metal. He is energetic and powerful while maintaining finesse and soul.
New in town but with shows immediately on the calendar, the Brian Naughton Band's hard driving rhythm section is currently completed by one of two very sought after bass players, schedule contingent for both the musicians.
You'll find either Jumpin Jimmy Dethrow or the well known Mike "Bike" Baker on stage completing the sound from Mike "The Wop" and Brian.
Quote from a fan: "Brian Naughton is old school and schooled, he's all three kings plus SRV plus Hendrix plus Robert Johnson and every other great plus a whole lot of himself. He's drinkable and danceable and somehow undefinable and has a place in music's history- and you never forget what you see". For booking information contact-Stephanie Weiler: 314 566 5820
