Brian Seligman is Toronto based freelance composer and performer. He studied extensively at the University of Toronto at their music faculty where he received his bachelors degree. Brian has continued to advance his career towards scoring for film and television as well as other writing and performance opportunities.
As a film composer Brian recently achieved a composer credit with the Canadian Film Centre (CFC). His piece was performed by the Royal Conservatory Orchestra at CBC’s Glenn Gould Performance Hall. It was mixed at the CTV building and later screened at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
As a performer, Brian can be seen with many established artists in Toronto. He recently co-launched the new band: The Little Black Dress. Along with the musical genius of Dan Sadowski, this group just released a new myspace along with fresh merchandise! Brian can also be seen with other groups Matt Humprheys, Najuah and Andrea Loren. All groups are actively performing and can be seen at such venues as The Drake, The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee’s Palace, The Mod Club, The Revival, and The Gladstone. Brian also performs with several small jazz ensembles at local venues and private parties.
Brian is actively composing original material for many groups and projects. Music performance, film scoring, and teaching remain the focal point of Brian's career as he continues to carve his own unique path through the music Industry.
