In 1985, beginning with just 5 employees, Brian Bentley became one of the youngest people ever to be awarded a dealership by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Today, Brian’s H-D employs 65 people, is annually ranked among the Top 20 in dealer sales worldwide and has won 6 of the coveted Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield awards. Brian has been the president of the prestigious Harley-Davidson Dealer Advisory Council and is currently serving a second term on the council.
The Service Department offers state-of-the-art technology and efficiency. The main floor houses 24 working lifts with plenty of room for 12 full-time technicians to work unencumbered. The department also features a “ride-in” service write-up area with automatic doors and service writers waiting to accommodate each customer. The ride-in basement hosts six additional pre-delivery bays and enough storage area to ensure each customers bike will be protected from the elements. The dyno-cell in the service department allows our technicians to get customers' bikes in peak performance for the riding season. It has a glass wall so the process can be observed.
When entering the showroom, customers are welcomed by one of our customer service specialists and then assisted to the sales floor which holds over 100 motorcycles, our Parts & Accessories department and our General Merchandise and Accessories department. In each department, we have highly trained personnel waiting to assist customers to meet all of their needs.
On the second floor, the roof-top deck, inside meeting room, and home décor showroom provide a perfect place for large gatherings. The deck can accommodate 350 people and features a stage, an overhang and a cushioned floor made from recycled motorcycle tires. The deck has already hosted many performances and has become a great place to socialize.
In a continuing quest to enhance the Harley owner’s experience, the dealership hosts over 50 events annually including open houses, fashion shows and concerts. As sponsor of the over 400 member Buck’s County HOG chapter, Brian’s H-D serves as the hub of many activities year round. With so many longtime customers, Brian’s introduced the Loyalty Advantage Program (LAP) which rewards customers for their purchases and participation in different events.
The newest department, and also one of the most popular, is the Motorcycle Rental Department. The rental counter boasts the largest fleet of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles in the area. The department allows riders to experience different models prior to purchasing their own bike, as well as to provide a recreational opportunity for a diverse group of riders.
In 1988, Brian started the “Muscular Dystrophy Ride for Life” which he currently chairs along with the Eastern H-D Dealers. This successful event has raised more than $7 million to fight the dreaded disease and has become the largest local fundraising motorcycle event. “Giving back to the community has made us successful and has become one of the most rewarding parts of this business,” says Brian. “The customers have fun, we have fun and we hopefully make things around us a little better through some of our events. That is part of what Brian's Harley-Davidson is all about.”
