   About Brian S. Ellis
I live in Jamaica Plain, a part of the the city of Boston. I read poems of my own devising to friends and family and strangers. On Wednesday nights you can usually find me at the Cantab lounge. On Friday nights you can find me at the Whitehaus Hootenannies. I am a founding member of the Treemausers. If you need something to do, let me know.

Brian S. Ellis

Uncontrolled Experiments in Freedom

Uncontrolled Experiments in Freedom is a manic and shimmering account of the life of Brian Stephen Ellis. His words shiver, babble, rant and constantly threaten to fall apart under the weight of their own gravity. His narratives come from and carry the images of a world where many believe no poetry to exist. This is a second-hand microscope examining the fuzzy science of survival.

I had a dream we went to a circus which turned out to be a giant football stadium converted into a mall. There was a hurricane of lottery tickets in the center and you caught the winner.

The only part of my dreams I remember last night (I very very rarely remember any dreams) is that I am pissing in the bathroom of my now-deceased childhood friend and you walk in and you start reciting poetry. I am shocked and happy to see you, regardless of being in the middle of pissing, and you keep reciting poetry unfazed.
It should also be noted that in my sleep I mumbled, "'tis a noble pursuit to attempt to unravel the mysteries of the universe."
I don't know if these two things are related but I thought I should tell you?

Also, how are you?
