Sports, school, going to the gym, jogging the bike path, sportswriting, bowling with TEAM AWESOME!, lunches with The Finer Things Club LLC, reading (yes I like to read), learning Portuguese (something I wished I had done before my grandparents passed away last year), going out and doing things I've always wanted to do (including the Providence-Newport ferry, catching Cape Cod League baseball, and maybe even kayaking), and anything that involves me growing as a person (I know that sounds wicked serious, but those who know me well understand this ; )
"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."
I Corinthians 13:4-8
If you're Portuguese, you know what these are....

About me: First and foremost, I just want to say that my life definitely does not suck at all. I'm surrounded by a great family and good friends. I get paid to watch soccer. I go to a school that I love, and I enjoy every minute of it (except the whole writing papers at the last minute deal...). I live in a part of the country where I can watch different varieties of baseball and soccer, my two favorite sports. I live comfortably, I drive a nice car, but material things are ALWAYS secondary because I am always looking to learn and meet new people. I am a pretty busy person with alot going on, and I believe in "the privilige of pressure" principle (whoa, that was an avalanche of alliteration). During election years, I revert to my poli sci persona and read up on alot of domestic and foreign policy (for real) and stay current on the issues so that I can make an informed decision about who I want to vote for in November. But other than that, hey - it's just me! I'll expand upon this further at some point in the future, but all you need to know is that I am a dashing, exuberant young squire that follows baseball, football, football (soccer), hockey, and auto racing. I find such events quite sporting. I often tarry at WaterFire, billiard halls, and at Haruki. Often times, I delight myself in fantasy football, writing, browsing the interweb, and putting together my world domination manifesto, which is currently on page 11,543 at the present moment. On occasion, I take breaks from said manifesto to do some soccer writing for New England Soccer News, which I've enjoyed thoroughly. I also attend classes at Rhode Island College in pursuit of my MA in English, which is crazy...but a good crazy. If you ask my dear friend Abbey, I will also go on to work for Hallmark someday and become a card writer, because she says I would be good at that. Pleaze believe it SON!
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who can hold up a conversation! Seriously, I am a talker, and anyone who can talk is cool in my book, so long as every other word isn't "uh" or "y'know." I love meeting people in general, just for the different perspectives. I love sports, and love to talk about them, but people who can talk about politics, current issues, and other multi-disciplinary arenas are also pretty fun to talk to as well.
Oh my God, where have you been all my life???
so we totally need to get as much of team awesome together as we can once the semester at RIC is over, it's a necessity. i work down the road from a bowling alley...
