At Brian Weaver's home, everything has a place. And not only does it have its place, but everything has been purposefully placed. It's the same with his music. One listen, and you'll hear the purposeful placement of his lyrics. Listen closer, and you'll hear what’s on his heart.
Born and raised in Glendale, Ariz., Brian spent much of his childhood taking piano lessons. He picked up the guitar during his junior year in high school, practicing several hours a week with the goal of playing well enough to lead worship. He took the musical reins of the high school group at his church when he was a freshman in college.
His involvement with Young Life has allowed him to lead worship and perform at multiple leadership retreats, area meetings and Arizona State University's West Campus college group. Not only that, but Brian was invited to play at multiple Young Life summer camps in 2006, 2007 and 2008, allowing him to witness to almost 4,000 campers.
His life verse is Ephesians 4:1-2: “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Brian’s calling is to pursue music and, most importantly, to share the Gospel of the Kingdom through his music -- through church ministry, outreach ministries such as Young Life or other outlets. But as soon as Brian hears God unlocking a door, you can be sure Brian will be right there ready to open it. He believes being an artist is more than just getting up onstage and playing music; it's about relationships. God designed us for relationships, and just as James 4:8 says to “[d]raw close to God, and He will draw close to you,” Brian believes it is his calling to pursue those around him, not wait for them to pursue him. He has been given a bright light to shine, and he is looking for the highest hill to climb.
Right now, Brian is patiently figuring out the balance between humility and being bold. He’s recently come to believe that life is not about trying. Trying is impossible; you either do something or you don’t. Brian is here to be a doer. He’s here to take his music, ministry and life to a whole new level – a kingdom level. And he hopes his listeners enjoy the journey as much as he does.
Brian's recent release, “Draw Close,” will catch your ears' attention and your heart's.
As It Is
Well that sounds good. I'm glad things are going well for you. Things are great for me right now too. I went to camp the 14-20 at Crooked Creek in Fraser up here in Colorado. It was an absolute blast, I love camp every year. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do Work Crew somewhere next summer too so that should be fun. But other than that I've pretty much just been playing baseball and hanging out with friends.
well things were pretty rough before i left for camp, but they're much easier to deal with since i got back. :) oh and the car ride with seth, NOT fun. haha he bought his daughter an ice cream cone and she got it EVERYWHERE. it was gross. next year im offering to walk to camp if theres no other way. haha

cool cool. i havent decided if i'm going to do any SS or not. i know Woodleaf needs people for session 3, and one of the area directors near me is the SS coordinator, but i need to work and make some money more than anything.
Hey, it's going good. Um....I'm not sure yet. I got an email from my area director that Woodleaf 3rd session needs more people, so I'm waiting to find out what positions are still open before deciding if I want to go and before trying to discover what God wants me to do. So I'm not sure yet. How about you?
im so sad tho because our prom is that saturday and you have a show ... me and all my friends were like that would be soooo awesome if brian weaver came out to our prom and at least played one freaking song there.... but your a busy perdon so i doubt that would ever be possible gosh its upsetting :( lol
