last night i dreamt i was standing around the fire pit in my backyard and the kids from michigan wanted to have a singalong. i said, do you know this song? and started singing a bw+tnw song.

before the dream while i was awake something like that happened except the song i sang then was about drinking carlo rossi and spending the night in the old hoose gow/hoose cow(sp?)

you should either tell me what album the ghost coast song is on, or put it up because ive been hankering to listen to that for months with no luck. haha.

my half of the split should be finished up soon. and i found a way to get the vol. up on that song. andrew said he'd have paper cup band's songs ready when i see him next too. so i'll mail out the rest of it too on one disk to get the levels closer together.

also, i made you a copy of your set at the life spring show. its all one track right now, but you can chop it up if you have basically any audio program. (audacity works well, and is free to download)

until next time,

-Tyler

rhinelander is apparently home to the hodag...

"Legends of the Black Hodag were told earlier in the 19th century among the lumberjacks of the area. According to these, the hodag had risen from the ashes of an ox, in some legends it was Paul Bunyan's ox, Babe, which was burned for seven years to cleanse its soul of the profanity hurled at it by lumberjacks and its master. The soul of the ox emerged from the ashes exuding a foul odor. The Hodag bears a slight physical resemblance to the Ojibwa legend of Mishepishu, but the latter is larger, has additional features, and a different origin. The hodag reportedly ate white bulldogs, but only on a single Sunday in a month.

from a blog:

“Onward, Young Menonites!!” is the type of album that makes me smile. It is completely homemade, from the markered-up cd face to the photocopied cd insert. Even the writing on the cd insert is hand written by someone who was trying really hard to write legibly.

Upon seeing a handwritten and photocopied album cover, I usually assume that it was produced by some poor Joe who has not the money to make it nicer. But in this case, the cd cover and elbow grease that produced it, mesh perfectly with the blue-collar feel of the album.

Yo, Brian Whitson and the Night Wolves! Your set was rad tonight. It doesn't get much better than the foots stomping madness and "Ramble On." Keep it real.

"... he was serene and even-tempered. he never wanted to show off in front of his peers. maybe for that very reason he was never afraid of anyone, and yet the boys realized at once that he was not at all proud of his fearlessness, but looked as if he did not realize that he was brave and fearless.

It's raining and thundering...and there's some lightning, too.
I'm listening to "Stearns County, 1997" and it is complementing the weather and my mood perfectly.
And I mean that in an amazing way.
Thanks for helping to make this moment possible.
