These are some of the albums I had in mind when recording "Lucky Ones":
Elliott Smith - "Figure 8"
Tom Petty - "Wildflowers"
Counting Crows - "August and Everything After"
Paul McCartney - "Chaos and Creation"
Ryan Adams - "Easy Tiger"
Angie Aparo - "For Stars and Moon"
After a 2 year hiatus from Atlanta’s original music scene, I am gearing up to return with my brand new album “Lucky Ones”. My friend and co-producer, Clay Cook, put it best when he said that this album is my “Sea Change” (google Beck and this album’s descriptions). Once you learn the correlation, you will know what to expect from “Lucky Ones”.
Highly inspired by Elliott Smith and Tom Petty this time around, I decided that I wanted to go a slightly different direction with this one and record a more organic and heartfelt album built around the acoustic guitar and piano. I am very happy with the sounds Clay and I were able to achieve on this one. I feel like this is a collection of the best songs I have written to date. I finally have made the album that I have always wanted to make and it just so happens that I had a lot of inspiration surrounding me this past year. For those of you expecting the more upbeat rock tunes found on my previous albums, I hope that you are pleasantly surprised by this one.
Hey guy, just seein how you're doin. I've finished out the fire season here in Montana and I'm headed to the ATL here in a couple days. If ur having any "local" shows aka RIO any time soon you should let me know. I'd love to see you play while I'm in town. Hope all is well
Just wanted to drop by and say hello. I saw you Tuesday night. You are really good. I forgot to pick up your album tho. I am going to have to get that the next time I see you perform (and I will have to see you perform again).
