About me: I am a middle aged muso that is jack of all and master of none, I just gotta play music, particularly Irish music and Country music. Too date I am playing Whistles, Flute, Bagpipes, Mandolin,Blarge,Banjo,Concertina, Bodhran,Sax and Guitar. I play around west and South Yorkshire and like to find sessions where I can source new material So let me know if there are sessions in or around these areas. I have been playing around the Yorkshire area for nearly 29 years and have fond memories of nearly all the people I have played with(all bar one who shall remain nameless)These include Scarlet Heights,The Wild Geese,Slainte, Shindig,Peat bog Soldiers,The lager Barrels, Gaelforce, Rakish paddy, and I now play and sing Irish Ballads on my own as well as playing with Frigga.Check out our website on myspace.http://www.myspace.com/friggaceiliband My main style at the minute is Irish Trad but have recently been given an opportunity to fulfill an ambition to play country music with the north country boys (Check out their my space site) and am really enjoying it. I have a Blarge made by Stefan Sobell in vivid green and a mandolin and guitar made by a luthier Steve Agnew from Scotland check him out, my mandolin made by him is sweet as a nut. and loud!!!What a lovely bunch of people on my space so much talent and great music. I am loving singing and playing my instruments at the |Addingham Acoustic sessions run by ourselves at THE ADDINGHAM SOCIAL CLUB in Addingham on Tuesday nights what a great bunch of people.
I am now branching out on my own doing Irish Ballads and have gigs in Feb Thru to May, and am working on a new album for the end of 2009
