I’m a songwriter/singer in Nashville (songwriter by choice/singer by necessity). My wife, Betsy, and I have a 1 yr old boy (Levi) and we live in East Nashville. (Actually, we live in Inglewood, which is the blue-collar, younger step-brother to the much hipper and happening 5 Points/Eastwood Neighbors area. We have no illusions of hipness, so it works out well. We love our neighborhood!) As a fairly new father, you can often find me in a daze – sometimes in amazement at how blessed I am and how wonderful my wife and son are; and sometimes spaced out from prolonged sleep deprivation.
I’m a Kansas boy, born and bred. My wife and I moved here from Kansas City in the early fall of 2005. We had come through TN on vacation just 3 months prior, and ended up having a providential weekend in Nashville. Up until that weekend, we had no intentions or thoughts of uprooting from KC. But after some amazing experiences, conversations, and coincidences we found ourselves staying up most of the night talking about a 3 year plan to move to Nashville. Well, our lives kept being filled with amazing experiences, conversations, and coincidences and we ended up moving down just a few months later. What an adventure!
So now here I am, struggling and striving with most of the rest of the city to make it. And more importantly, to make great music! I’m having a blast co-writing with amazing artists/songwriters, meeting industry folk, and just being a part of the community. And now that I know what it’s like to be greeted with smiles from my amazing wife and son, I know that everything else is just gravy.!!! Start Code To Apply Top Banner !!!!
