“The Sun, whose raze, are all ablaze
With ever-living glory,
Do not deny His majesty
He scorns to tell a story!
He don’t exclaim
’I blush for shame
So kindly be indludgent’
But, fierce and bold,
In fiery gold,
His glories all effulgent!
I mean to rule the earth
As He the sky,
We really know our worth
The Sun and I."
What an incredible movie!! Right after I saw it, I found shoes like the ones Emily was wearing. They were super expensive, but I had to buy them. I call them my "Brick" shoes.
what a great movie!
i cant believe you edited at home on your mac!
i have friends that are in similar situations like you were, with wonderful scripts and no funding, but seeing u finish your movie gives me and them new hope that they can do it too!

goodluck with your next film
Liz
hey just wanted to say hi from down under and say thanks for producing this move. Despite the "ctitics" opinions here i and several friends of mine really enjoyed your film. Thanks again for your tireless efforts and i'll be waiting for your next one
Thanks for the add. I've always been a huge fan of noir detective fiction (Hammett, Chandler, etc.), and I thought that the genre had been beaten to death before I saw this movie. Congratulations on a really innovative take. I've been recommending it to all my friends, and when they ask what it's like, I tell them "It's Heathers meets The Maltese Falcon". Unfortunately most of my friends have seen neither movie. I guess I need new friends.
I really love this movie!
I wasnt all that interested in it when I saw the cover but when I watched it for the first time I feel in love with it.
I love the way that they talk in this movie and how different the characters are.

Hi - first of all, thanks very much for the add! Happy new years from Australia!
Man, I was too sick to go anywhere for New Years - so I rented this film and stayed in - and it really made my night!
What a great film to bring in the new year! I really got into film noir last year when i was researching stuff for my own short film noir - and this film was just incredible! I wanted to rewatch it right after it ended! Not many films make me want to do that!
Congrats on an incredible, awesome movie! Can't wait for more! The novella looks awesome too! Thanks again!
Just to be a nudge, Brick is the finest indie film to be made in many, many moons. I say this with the utmost respect, this is a project that should be studied for years to come. I am a huge fan and admirer. Goes to show what one man, his vision and his editing machine can produce. Any guesses as to how he did it? Talent, drive, luck, skills ... maybe the same writer, director, editor ... all of the above and much more I cannot know. RJ, I admire you and await your next film. TRULY.
It was a pleasure to meet you and hear old stories about your school dayz with the D Meister... Hopefully you will come collecting on that breakfast the he owes you:)
PS Everytime I introduce and watch Brick with a new person I see more than I haden't the time before. Can't wait for your next flick.... Cheers:)
