With gratitude and joy I make music with Bonnie Paine, Sage Cook, Dango Rose and Dan Rodriguez. Together we align under the musical entity of "Elephant Revival." We travel in 'Bessie' our homey, vegetable oil powered school bus with intentions of spreading peace, love, eco-consciousness and sustainability awareness. Warning: we travel with our own recycled to-go boxes!

Sounds Like
Some have said my voice sounds like it should be playing on an old vinyl. I have been told I sound like Norah Jones--THANK YOU! And once someone said "Somewhere between Norah Jones and Madeleine Peyroux, but totally unique."
Fiddle-wise I have heard and believe that I most resemble Tim Carbone--very cool. I aspire to play and feel it like Stuart Duncan.
"No strings attached I embrace my flight, as I wander through an indigo night; as I venture through a dynamic day, I respond with care as I make my way.
No strings unkown for a lifetime to learn, a pattern or tone in a wordless tune.
Every lesson shown a new trait received, new muscle memory, a new skill acheived.
I have no strings to hold me back, no strings to break my fall; for freedom is a chosen art that has no strings at all."
I have been blessed with the opportunity to play with Michael Franti, Little Feat, Tim O'Brien, Vince Herman, Katy Gray and George Clinton and P-Funk just to name the big ones....I make music regularly with amazing people and musicians from bands all over the country. THANK YOU!
My travels to Scotland have been most inspiring. Four times since 2006 I have taught at the Taransay Fiddle Camp and also Blazin' in Beauly alongside some of the best players in their land including The Blazin' Fiddles fiddlers especially Iain MacFalane, Alan Henderson, and Andy Thorburne, The Battlefield Band's praised fiddler Alasdair White, Session A9's leader Charlie McKerron, Braebech's female presence Patsy Reid and the lovely Mairi Campbell of Cape Breton. The students are absolutely wonderful and have become some of the dearest spirits I know, while the experiences are some of the most enriching and inspiring of my life. Thank you especially to Dolan and the gang for making this marvelous opportunity possible!
Can't wait to see you again on 4/12 at Columbia City Theater! And I've got a copy of the video from the Warsaw show you played on for you... xoxo G. Minor
