Bridget Vogel is the quintessential traveling blues woman. She began her journey in Spokane, Washington where she built a loyal following and created a little legend for herself as the closet songwriter who got bit by the crazy blues. Throughout the past several years, she traveled across the country leaving her footprint in Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, and Michigan. Developing strong relationships a...long the way, she received an open door with the band NEEDTOBREATHE, becoming one of the only local openers on their 2009 tour. In 2010, after an introduction to current producer Neil B. Young from Seth Bolt of NEEDTOBREATHE, she made her way across the tracks to the Lowcountry where she recorded her second EP, "The Shakedown," in Charleston, South Carolina, released December 12, 2011. Her sound is a unique blend of soulfully sweet, smokey vocals that ring over southern crossroads guitar riffs. Crediting CCR, the incredible Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jonny Lang and Bonnie Raitt as her influences, her sound refuses to be accurately described through artist comparisons (likely finding her on KT Tunstall's Pandora Station one day). However, her music could possibly be the cure for this generation's case of the blues. -
