Earth Born is my first full length collaboration with the wonderful Spirits Burning, The CD left the docking bay at Voice Print on March 18th and we've had great feedback thanks!
The cover was designed by yours truly, with Karen Anderson at the helm steering the ship!
She also did the layout for the cd...grand job K!
Also below is a photo collage I put together to show all the fine musicians that have contributed time, skill and beautiful sounds to make Earth Born just the best cd ever!! Thank you all!!!!!!!

Spirits Burning collaborations cover a wide range of sounds.... space rock via mellow, psychedelic tunefulness, thru to a Bristol sound reminiscent of Massive Attack and including a melodic sensuous Kate Bush/Peter Gabriel feel....sound interesting?....sure is!!

Spirits Burning, My Outer Space, Spaceseed and a new project with Lee, John and Louise called Omenopus
My work with Spirits Burning started in 2002 ish when Don Falcone got in touch inviting me to contribute to Spirits Burning..a space rock collective of talented musicians living across the planet....check out our latest cd's; Alien Injection on Black Widow Records and Earth Born on Voiceprint; both have some great musicians contributing....including lots of Hawkwind members past and present and members of other great bands such as Gong, Jefferson Starship, Karda Estra and Citizen Fish ...................
We have a new BW/SB project cooking up a storm and it is now reaching the final completion stages and we predict it will be ready for mastering by the end of the month (April 09)!!!
With the title of Bloodlines, it features some really cool tracks about some great characters from history with some superb musicians contributing such as Simon House, Banco de Gaia and Nic Potter from Van der Graaf Generator
...and lots of other collaborations are happening...!!!!
New tracks are in the pipeline with Frank Hensel from MyOuter Space and fellow member Everling
Alan Davey and myself have decided to turn our Arabic influenced EP titled Djinn into a full length CD...obviously it means it'll be a while before its finished...but we're both well pleased with how it's shaping up.
Last years collaboration on Spaceseed's next CD...Architects Of Twilight...is OUT NOW and available in the uk from Voiceprint Records!
Watch out for Osiris The Rebirth; Dave Adams from Assassins of Silence fame...it's him and Miles getting their groove on with contributions from our world wide space rock family.
Omenopus is a recent project...this is taken from the band's Myspace page
'Omenopus' is a collection of artists collaborating and coagulating digital noise across the planet, streaming analogue audio symbiosis over the great wide web of cyber space.
Bridget Wishart... Singer-Songwriter, famously known for her journey aboard the mothership of 'Hawkwind' and more recently 'Spirits Burning'.
Louise Bialik... Singer-Songwriter, once the angelic voice of '17 Pygmies', now part of the duo 'Dark Chemistry' (with Simon House) and the trio 'Comitatus'.
John Pierpoint... Guitarist, played bass with British Rock bands 'The Earthmovers' and 'Dusk' during the 80's and 90's, now part of '1912'.
Lee Potts... Musician/Producer... Solo artist for many years, now the main applicator of 'Omenopus'.
Lastly but in no way leastly...
Another new instrumental project with Don (Falcone) called Astral Fish is slowly growing into being and I'll let you know more as soon as I do. :-)
Hello Bridget, today i had the luck to purchase the Spirits Burning albums Earth Born and Alien Injection. Not too bad for a humble german space rocker to fish those pearls out of the fangs from a cologne independent record store owner! And...what a Luck! Both cds are brilliant (earth born is just spinning while i'm typing this message:-) Carry on, Bridget!
