Bridgewater Band is a string-based alt-country trio with folk roots and a gospel soul. For seven years OKC’s Bridgewater Band has been serving up their brand of hillbilly stew in dynamic live shows. Singer/songwriter Kelly B’s words “speak of faded grandeur and youth (which is to say love) lost. Bridgewater songs are just as cynical as they are earnest and just as funny as they are heartbreaking.” Kelly’s church choir vocals are ably backed by BJ Megginson on electric and acoustic guitar, and Ben Arnett on violin. Driving guitar rhythms infused with Southern roots lay a solid foundation for the earthy crack in Kelly’s voice and the angelic perfection of Ben’s violin line. At home in a rowdy bar or at your kitchen table, the Bridgewater Band is proud to bring the Okie stomp to your neck of the woods.
So wish I could have heard you at the Red Cup Saturday. Was playing at a party myself. I heard great reviews of your set! Keep me posted on when you are singing around here and congratulations on arranging the tour. Go for it. That's what I said.
So... Today is the big day we've been working toward for about 3 months now. The Fine Print is hosting the first ever Collide! art/music show at The 51st Street Speakeasy. Doors open at 3:00pm. Music starts at 4:00pm. The entire upstairs is filled with amazing artwork on display, exclusively from artists right here in Oklahoma. Coop Works will have some beer to try out, and The Speakeasy will have free food available throughout the day. Come stop by and have some fun with us tonight. Let's start something new for OKC together... Collide!

These Things Take Time has become an integral part of my writing process. Know why?
Because Bridgewater songs have hardwood floors and crystal doorknobs; but the foundation isn't level and the doors haven't closed tight in years.
Bridgewater songs speak of faded grandeur and youth(which is to say love) lost.
Bridgewater songs are just as cynical as they are earnest and just as funny as they are heartbreaking.
I try to place my writing in the point of disconnect between the earthy crack in Kelly's voice and the angelic perfection of Ben's violin line -- which could be a point of bifurcation or convergence, depending upon your perspective.
And I think I'll stop rhapsodizing and get back in-process now.
