In September 2008, Brief Awakening danced into the Boston music scene playing numerous clubs and venues such as The Midway and The Middle East Upstairs. With unique instrumentation and dual-lead female vocals rich with harmony; Brief Awakening's sound has been compared to Belle and Sebastian, Tori Amos and everything in between. Brief Awakening is a member of local indie label, Polk Records, and Boston based music collective, Activist Music for the People (A.M.P.). Lyrical subjects range from to poetically personal to the fight for equality and justice for all people. The Craic Festival 2009 has invited FairplayCollective to play at this years Festival. All members will be playing in the round. The show is at The Mercury Lounge, March 14th at 8pm. This is the last night of the festival and Foy Vance is also on the bill.
