It is so wonderful to see your smiling profile picture faces. All of you have aged nicely(what a relief - my tiresome retreat didn't cause you too many wrinkles), and some are in COLLEGE(crazy. weird. oh lawdy.). But all seem to be HAPPY. Even better. I have more things to share....including answers to the ever looming question:

But to start. My beautiful friend and partner-in-interwebs Caitlin Crosby has finished her latest music video for her song "Flawz". She has been compiling videos and pictures for 3 years now. I have witnessed many a moment, when I thought my life was in danger for she would pull over to the side of the road, screeching, to try to convince a girl with amazing freckles to not only love them, but also, make a video contribution. The end product has brought me to tears. I hope you will check it out and love on it too. I'm going to make it so easy to see - its just under this. How convenient!
As for the music. I have been writing. I have been playing. I just found that I was completely disenchanted with the whole "thing". Being on Universal brought me to some amazing places and met, for one, all of you beauties. But what went along with it I didn't enjoy. I was being guided in an "artistic" direction I couldn't stand by. You think that when you are signed to a label you get to be, well, YOU. But it wasn't the case at all. I wanted to write all my own songs, and they were afraid of that. I wanted to wear sneakers and play my guitar - they wanted heels and wind blown hair. To sum it all up, after years of arguing with my label about "who I was" I mentioned my guitar and one of the execs said "You play guitar?". WOW. Just wow. I still want to play, and I want to tour and see all of you again. But I needed time to recover. I'm now dabbling in a band and I'm finally(cue angels) happy and whole.
So...wow, was that too long an explanation? Bottom line - MUSIC IS COMING. But it may sound different and be under a different name. I'll inform you when stuff is released.
I also have some B&T plans for the future. SHOCK! AWE!!!!

p.s. anyone seen any good movies lately? Either in theaters or not? I saw The Imaginarium of Dr.Parnassus and have been in a daze since. Terry Gilliam is reading my diary.

Francisca Valenzuela On… Brieeeee! omg, girl, where have you been for the last...2 years? Long time, no see! I know about your acting gigs, which I love but, I've missed your music so much! I started listening to you when I was 15, now I'm a soon-to-be 21 yr old junior in college! Man, time flies!
Now, to answer your question about movies, do not and I repeat, do not, watch The Lovely Bones! It will make you want to rip out every eyelash follicle by follicle. I tell you this b/c I have no eyelashes @ the moment. (I watched it online before it was released and I was ready to throw my laptop out the window!!) It was soo bad! I read the book, which I thought was ok, but the movie sucked. Case and point, don't see it or you will hate your life for doing so (even more so if you read the book). That being said, go watch Avatar in 3D. That was good, though boring in some parts. Precious was good, I've been told, but I've never seen it. Take care! Nice to chat again! Chantal PS: Please upload 'Stilts and the Titanic' back to Myspace. That was my jam circa '06! And, if you have them, please upload the vids from ur Viper Room gig back in March of 06. I keep hearing that you performed NEW songs like Dear Universe, Powershift, and another one I can't remember. I've been dying to hear those! What kind of guitar(s) do you play? Hi. i recently saw you perform on scott pilgrim and i was blown away. you have insane stage presence and magnetism, and thats on a freakin dvd. every glance just drips attitude. i really hope that you do more of that style of music in the future, it works for you imho. i've been playing your metric cover on repeat, and if you had a whole album like that i'd definately buy it, buy tickets to concerts, etc. maybe envy adams could get a spin off movie like russel brand with aldous snow...idk. just wanted to say thanks for the kickass tunes. keep doing what you do best and you can't go wrong. good luck

I completely agree with you about labels, that's why I've never tried to get signed by anybody (aside from nobody asking :)
They want you to be someone you're not, but they pretend it is your "uniqueness" that they are marketing. I know you have the talent to be huge, just trust your instinct and you will find the right opportunity. At least that's what I keep telling myself, so far, I can't tell if it's working or not. Being original and not putting out the same popcorn that everyone else is making is something I really admire and respect. Writing your own songs is such a key element to making a great album, you would think labels would have learned that by now. Anyway, I'm through ranting, good journey.

You blogged! College is lame stuff. I'm tellin ya! I asbolutely LOVE the Flawz video!! I just saw Caitlin on Friday and Saturday too and the vid was getting good responses from the crowed! I have you to thank for spreading the word about Caitlin. So thank you. Oh! and you might want to mention that Housebroken comes to DVD on March 30! ;) New music?!? Band? Sounds different? I'm down. Frick Brie, If you were in a band called fluffy bunnies I would still dig the music. Not that fluffy bunnies isnt a cool name or anything. But seriously. Can't wait! =)
I recently saw The Lovely Bones (Friggin amazing!) & It's Complicated. Those movies were good. And apparently a movie called "Avatar" is pretty amazing. I've never seen it. As far as I know its aliens from space who take over earth? or was it another planet?
