About me:

I'll always be a California kid, but New York has broadened my perspective in a way that the South Bay never could. I love me my 408, but the 212 has made me grow. I'm a dreamer. I'm passionate. Sometimes I lose site of the little things, but I'm working on fixing that. I mean well, but I often fall flat on my face. But I am not afraid to pick up and get back to do better the next time. Life is about how we bounce back from failures because 9 times out of 9, you won't get that audition, you won't score what you wanted on the exam, you won't make everyone happy, but that 10th time you try, it will work - and if the timing is right, it will be all worth it. I'm at a point in my life now where I have major life decisions to make. Career, family, love, friends - I don't want to be the guy who wakes up one day and regrets because I've already done that. I believe Asia is the future and all these folks who are learning Mandarin (or making their kids learn it) are onto something. I've never been one to follow the road that others laid out for me, or society laid out for me, but I'm not a reckless free spirit either. If you like even one Hall & Oates' song, you get big brownie points. If you've helped me grow in some way, you get bigger brownie points. I've been accused of being a chatterbox and not leaving a party when it's time to leave. I guess in a way, I'm a networker, whatever that means. I've been pointed out to be someone who may be doing some things in vain cause I never like to do things half-assed. Sometimes, I do too much - too many hats on my head. I'm far from perfect and I'll always be who I am, but as life goes on, I learn to adjust/improve/be happier and weed out the extraneous or bad. I know why people say life only gets better. It's because you get wiser and learn to appreciate and enjoy more and perhaps because we eat more spam musubis. I love chillin' out in Hawaii and could see myself retired in Vancouver. Life is about learning. My pencil's sharpened, my brain's (my biggest pet peeve in life is when people spell my name Brain) a sponge. I'm ready to learn. Show me something.
