Bright Channel has been described as inspiring and revelatory, dark and elegant, shimmering and roaring. One thing is for certain, Bright Channel's music defies categorization. This is a rock band with a wide variety of musical influences and a clear vision for the future. Since forming in June of 2002, this 3-piece has steadily grown a loyal fan base on the strength of their live appearances. Their signature sound consists largely of swirling, melodic guitars lapping against a wall of pounding rhythms. Encompassing the best of shoegaze, post-punk, indie, no-wave, brit pop and space rock, Bright Channel is forging ahead with a new sound that is highly stylized and unique. Their much anticipated debut album was recorded by acclaimed engineer Steve Albini in a 5-day recording session in the Spring of 2004. Released in September '04 on Flight Approved Records, Bright Channel's self-titled debut captures the ethereal, raw power of the band live. "Self-Propelled", their self-produced second album for Flight Approved, was released in February of 2006.

we think we are lucky to live these lives we lead. to be a part of the cultural, political and scientific conversation of our time, while able to work one's way through life basically supporting oneself through their art. amazing! frustrating sometimes? yes. unfair sometimes...what isn't? know we are blessed. that is why it is imperative that we speak up. it is our responsibility for being so blessed. - dj monkey

The Rock & Roll Grill is hosting some benefit shows that we would love you to be a part of. Innervision( Blind and Disabled Musicians) and LOMA ( Left out Mothers Assn) are the beneficiaries, as a significant portion of alcohol sales will be donated to these great non profits. We still pay the bands based on attendance. If you are able to attract at least a small crowd to your show, we would love to have you. It's a party with a cause, and in these tough economic times, fundraisers like these are essential to keep these charities functioning. The following dates are available. Friday, Dec. 19th, Saturday, Dec. 20th. Friday, Dec. 26th, Saturday, Dec. 27th, Wednesday, New Years Eve, Friday, Jan. 2nd and Saturday, Jan. 3rd. We also do all ages shows on Sundays.
