After releasing their debut single 'New York Kid' released by Rish Records and distributed by MGM, 'BRIGHT RED' spent 2008 living in Brooklyn, New York; and playing shows across the USA and the UK.
Neige and 'O' Koppes were seduced by the charms of Melbourne and set up camp this year, they renamed themselves 'THE KICKS' and set about jamming up a whole new set of musical delights. Channeling the dreamy vibes of the Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey and BRMC, The Kicks rose as a wall of feedback and mildly evil sound.
Fronted by Neige and O Koppes, The Kicks are joined by Aaron Ronaldson on guitar and Zac Hodgkinson on drums. Having toured nationally with the wonderful Expatriate, British India, The Cops, Regular John and Sparkadia, 'THE KICKS' bring their blood rites to The Corner on Saturday 5th December with aussie rock legends 'THE CHURCH' and 'ASTREETLIGHTSONG', and again at Sydney's The Factory Theatre on December 12th.

Hi, ya know, me still thinks that Nowhere To Go Nowhere To Stay is one of the greatest songs of all time, that’s quite an achievement! Well done. Related to such, there are two songs which I think share the greatest song of all time title, they are Third Eye by Tool and Adagio in G Minor by Albinoni, I think you should give them a listen if you haven’t already (Adagio in G Minor can be heard on my MySpace page).
