Primarily Christian music. But anything that doesn't drag me down!
Movies
I will sit through any movie and come up with something nice to say about it, EXCEPT EVENT HORIZON (not kidding). My favorite movie of all time is Princess Bride. I would recommend Day Watch and Night Watch if you like foreign films (heck, even if you don't like foreign films). I prefer comedies and action/ thrillers. I get more and more sappy with each passing year, so my snobbishness in the romantic comedy genre has lightened up a bit.
Television
I pretty much don't watch TV anymore, except 24! I used to LOVE watching Flight of the Conchords. Other than that it's basically cartoons, which to be honest, I prefer. I watched cartoons before I had kids.
Books
I mainly read the Bible now. Ummm, yeah, I swear that's way less weird than it sounds! I really don't have much time to just read!!! I did just read The Shack. It was a good read. If you are a Chrisitan and are not quite sound in your beliefs, you might hold off. There's some stuff in there that I think is a bit suspect, but again, good overall.
Heroes
Jesus Christ, David, Moses, Abraham, Jehoshaphat, Rahab, Ruth, Esther, Paul, Peter, Stephen, Elijah, Elisha, the starving Widow PICKIN UP STICKS that provided food and shelter to Elijah, I could go on with biblical references, but I digress! My grandparents, parents, husband, siblings, friends, pastors, pretty much I find that anyone fighting the good fight of faith is my hero. It's the people that get back up and get back up and get back up that are heroic to me!

If you haven't guessed, I am a bible believing disciple of Jesus Christ. For me that means I actually believe that the Bible is God's infallible Word and that Jesus Christ is my savior. Yes, I really believe that there is a great big God out there who loves us deeply and wants to spend eternity with us, so much so that He sent Jesus to actually take on sin and death in our stead. Yes, I believe that God not only wants what is best for us in the afterlife, but that He desires the best for us in this life. Before your mind goes a-wanderin' where mine would have 6 yrs ago, I would like to clarify that being a judge of other peoples lives or beliefs is not a calling God has for my life, so if you don't accept my beliefs, I won't think any less of you for it. I go to an awesome church,Celebration Church. It's not what you typically think of when you think of church, which in most cases is a good thing. If you ever need prayer, I will pray for/with you. Don't worry, you don't need to be a Christian to ask for me to pray for/with you! We all find ourselves in places sometimes when we need something bigger than ourselves and that's ok. Prepare yourself that I will in all likely-hood invite you to church at some point, but I won't use guilt to get you there. Perhaps bribery... the coffee bar at Celebration makes some pretty good stuff, so there might be something in it for ya! I have 3 boys, not including Rob. They are 7, 5, & 3 and they are beautiful in every way and each of them carries my heart with them wherever they go. Yes, my house is loud and messy, but it's filled with love so I can live with that! My husband is Rob, he joined the Air National Guard and is finally back from being out of the state training. We've been married 8 yrs, together for 12, a feat in itself! I love him more with each passing day and I understand more and more how blessed I am to have such a wonderful and caring husband! Oh, I have wonderful & beautiful family & friends! All of whom I am proud to know and be associated with! I work in real estate, so it's a miracle that I still have a job. I believe that all glory and praise belongs to God, so I am thankful to God for all the many wonderful things I have in my life, only some of which I have shared with you! And, I now have a BLOG.
